Construction related services. Pre-Construction, Lay-Outs, Settlement, Monitoring, Post-Construction, As-Builts.
For the last three decades we have been assisting clients with all the land surveying services required for new construction, utility infrastructure installation, expansions, remodeling, and land development. We establish Project Control Points (Horizontal and Vertical) and set Temporary Benchmarks (TBMs), set grid lines clearly marked in the field and documented in construction survey field notes, sketches and reports.
Our staff is well versed in transforming design plans from architectural units to engineering/survey units and in plotting location of proposed improvements and utility infrastructure within required setbacks, planned corridors, right of ways(s), and project limits.
Our approach to every construction project includes a thorough analysis of site conditions for establishing a customized safety and risk management plan.
We carefully verify the zoning district and floodplain ordinances requirements confirming that proposed improvements do not violate minimum setbacks and ensuring that proposed finished floor elevations are above Base Flood Elevations, and that constructed improvements are consistent with the design flood criteria per approved plans.
During construction we set building pads, building corners, entrance features, sidewalks, pavements, drainage structures, curbs, ADA ramps, storm drainage ponds, columns, plates, etc. We prepare spot surveys, foundation surveys, form board surveys, set back checks, Tie Beam Elevation Certificates, partial as-Builts, final surveys, final FEMA elevation certificates, drainage run-off surveys, Surveyor’s Reports needed for inspections, compaction, Certificates of Occupancy, and permits close out documents. We use our drone capabilities to offer continuous real-time monitoring, inspection and documenting the construction process.
We offer millimeter-level accuracy Construction Settlement Monitoring services with GNSS technology, Optical Survey Targets, and Remote Sensing Technologies to track and measure structures/soil sinkings and subsidence, if any, during soil compaction, excavation and tunneling. Collected data is carefully analyzed to track changes and flag displacements that might require further investigation. Effective settlement monitoring is crucial in maintaining infrastructure’s structural performance, integrity and safety.
